What does CPE mean?
Did you know that some states don't even require a license for you to become an electrologist. In these states anyone can go out and buy an electrolysis machine and open shop. This is why weather you live in a licensed state or not it is very important that you make sure your electrologist is board certified.
For over 20 years now, the american electrology association has been providing this international board of electrologist certification for electrolygists worldwide.
This CPE diploma hanging in your electrologists office will signify that they have been tested and measured against a national standard of excellence, in addition too or instead of their state license.
The electrologist commits to keeping the high credentials through on-going continuing education. Board certification is voluntary training and credentials. The electrologist has every five years to obtain seventy-five hours of continuing education or needs to be re-tested.
This is important to make sure your electrologist is aware of changes in the profession and keeps your electrologist up to date.
Electrolysis is still the only true permanent hair removal method and the only permanent treatment recognized by the FDA.
